General Massage

30 minutes: $50
60 minutes: $100
90 minutes: $150

While there are always benefits to specific techniques and styles of massage, a general massage is a great place to start. This full body massage allows me to incorporate any of my available knowledge to your session based on your specific wants and needs, but doesn't go as in depth as some other styles do.

This massage is performed over the client's clothing and with no assistive lotion of any kind.

Swedish

30 minutes: $50
60 minutes: $100
90 minutes: $150

Swedish Massage is a very relaxing style of bodywork that combines oil or lotion with long gentle strokes to help the body improve its circulation and encourage relaxation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, and greater body comfort overall.

This is a direct to skin style of massage and is best performed using lotions, oils, gels, or creams, and with the client undressed to their comfort level.

Shiatsu

30 minutes: $50
60 minutes: $100
90 minutes: $150

Shiatsu, coming from the words "shi" (finger) and "atsu" (pressure), is a Japanese form of massage therapy. Utilizing Acupressure techniques with assistive stretching, Shiatsu massage is a full body meditative massage that helps to balance the body, mind and spirit.

This massage is performed over the client's clothing and with no assistive lotion of any kind.

Deep Tissue (DT)

Deep Tissue Massage is a highly popular therapeutic massage that excels at breaking up knots, tension, and even scar tissue within deeper layers of body tissue. It is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries, and is performed using small amounts of lotion or oil.

Due to the nature of the deep tissue work open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you get the most effective body work possible and do not end up with any injury. Keep in mind that soreness can be common after treatment and that you should drink plenty of water to aid with recovery.

This is a direct to skin style of massage and is best performed using lotions, oils, gels, or creams, and with the client undressed to their comfort level.

Deep Tissue Massage can be added to a Swedish style session if you desire, but due to the intense nature of this work it cannot be done for more than 15 minutes at a time.

Rocking & Shaking

This is a very relaxing massage style that involves inactive movement of your body. By using rocking, shaking, vibration, and other rhythmic movements on your body I can help relax the entire body in a much shorter session than traditional massage. This massage can be said to simulate the feeling of being rocked to sleep as a child, and uses that familiar sensation to remind the muscles to relax unnecessary tension and stress.

This massage style may cause discomfort in those who have experienced certain kinds of trauma, such as physical violence or a car crash, and may aggravate certain nerve issues. While uncommon, sometimes dizziness may occur.

This massage is performed over the client's clothing and with no assistive lotion of any kind.

This is a faster form of massage and sessions are shorter to compensate the therapist's needs, so prices and times will be discussed and established before-hand.

Sports Massage

Sports Massage is a type of massage designed for highly active people who engage in athletics. Sports Massage enhances performance and prolongs athletic careers by helping to prevent injury, reduce pains and swelling in the body, relax the mind, increase flexibility, and dramatically improve recovery rates. Sports Massage is also highly effective in aiding the rapid recovery of an athlete from an injury by encouraging greater kinesthetic awareness and in turn promoting the body's natural immune function. Sports Massage is a powerful tool for recovery and performance when performed before or after an event, and utilizes techniques specialized for reducing cramps, increasing blood flow, restoring flexibility, reducing soreness, increasing muscle strength and stamina.

This massage is performed over the client's clothing and with no assistive lotion of any kind.

This is a faster form of massage and sessions are shorter to compensate the therapist's needs, so prices and times will be discussed and established before-hand.

If you would like to hire us for a sports event please contact us with significant time in advance so we can properly schedule and coordinate for your event.

Myofascial Therapy (MFT)

Myofacial Therapy, or MFT for short, is a very direct and concentrated massage technique that focuses on specific muscles and muscle groups with the specific goal of recovery from pain and/or restricted range of movement. This therapy is highly effective for clients with limiting range of motion, pain within healed muscles, and those still struggling after surgical recovery. By focusing in more on the anatomical structures of the body MFT is able to hone in on specific problem areas by slowly addressing each muscle individually with specialized stretches to regain range and flexibilty.

This therapy is direct to skin but only requires partial undressing and does not use lotions or oils.

This form of massage requires a careful evaluation of the body before and after the massage so prices and times will be discussed and established before-hand.

Thai Massage

Thai massage is more energizing and rigorous than most other forms of massage therapy. It's also called Thai Yoga massage, because I use my hands, knees, legs, and feet to move you into a series of yoga-like postures and stretches. My clients say Thai massage is like doing yoga without doing any of the work. A single Thai massage session will help you greatly release stress and relieve pain, and help you function more effectively at work and home.

This massage is performed over the client's clothing and with no assistive lotion of any kind.

This form of massage is more physically and time intensive than most others listed here, so prices and times will be discussed and established before-hand.

Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger Point Therapy is a technique that focuses on stimulating and releasing “trigger points” in your body. Trigger points are tender areas of tension similar to acupressure points, except they occur following the anatomy of the muscles rather than along the energy pathways of the body.

These points are built up throughout a person's life due to physical, mental, and/or emotional stress. During a session, focused pressure is applied through a variety of techniques order to release your trigger points. These points can be quite sensitive, so communication during the sessions is crucial.

This therapy can be added to any session, but works best when performed without oil or lotion.
